Martin Girard founded a test and measurement business and led it through bootstrapped growth into
the world leader in its field of high-end pressure calibration. After the business was acquired in 2007, he
spent seven years as an executive in the Fortune 500 company that acquired it. Since 2014 Martin has
consulted and invested in small businesses, been involved with non-profit organizations, and taken time
to get to better know the work and world of his father, social theorist René Girard.
