Tobias co-founded a quantitative research and investment firm and was advising family offices on Bitcoin and early-stage tech investments. He has a background in philosophy and holds a PhD from ETH Zurich.
He is currently writing a book with Byrne Hobart on technological stagnation and the nature of innovation (forthcoming with Stripe Press).
